Today, optimizing the packaging process is more important than ever. A lack of personnel, cost pressure and ever-increasing speed demand customised solutions. Under the motto “Minimize to optimize”, our trade fair appearance this year focuses on sustainable process optimisation that addresses the current challenges of the market. In addition to solutions for filling and cushioning systems, we continue to focus on the automation of the packaging process. In this way, the manufacturer combines efficiency and cost awareness with the crucial aspect of sustainability.
Increased efficiency through automation
Papier Sprick realises this guiding principle in a new system for the fully automated packaging of products: the VariMailer® Pro packs products just-in-time at the push of a button, thus accelerating the entire process. All the user has to do is scan the product, place it in the designated product feeder and press the trigger. The VariMailer® then produces a so-called V-Mail fully automatically, which is adapted to the product, protects it and, thanks to the integrated label printer, ejects it ready for dispatch. This makes it possible to replace conventional cardboard boxes, envelopes and mailing bags that have to be assembled manually.
The design and implementation of the system are practice-oriented and take into account every step of the packaging and logistics process: starting with the material made of environmentally friendly corrugated board, through intuitive operation and low maintenance, to the dimensions of the V-mails, which are adapted to the consignment of goods. In addition to the faster operation and the resulting increase in output, freight costs and storage capacities can also be significantly reduced. The system offers these advantages especially for large mailers with a high volume of shipments.
