Mayor Pit Clausen visits the mechanical engineering site
Together with WEGE Wirtschaftsentwicklungsgesellschaft Bielefeld mbh, Bielefeld’s Mayor Pit Clausen visits local companies and establishes personal contacts with the business community. As a company with a long tradition and headquarters in Bielefeld, we are delighted that we were able to welcome the Mayor to our site. Here we had the opportunity to present the skills that come together in our production of sustainable packaging solutions during a tour of our mechanical engineering department.
Papier Sprick combines eco-friendly paper production and innovative system solutions for packaging – sustainable, innovative and made in Germany. At our site in Bielefeld, we operate our own machine construction facility, where we develop and produce systems to increase efficiency in the packaging process. Together with sustainably recycled paper from our own production, these are then used by senders to reliably protect products during transportation. “Papier Sprick is an example of what Bielefeld stands for as a business location: a sense of tradition, innovative strength and regional responsibility,” emphasized WEGE Managing Director Gregor Moss during the tour of the company.
However, sustainability and resource conservation are not only the focus of the manufacture of our packaging systems. At our production site in Diemelstadt, we produce recycled paper from 100% waste paper, which is processed into system papers and packaging materials such as corrugated cardboard and protective profiles.
After gaining an insight into the production of our void fill and cushioning systems, visitors were able to experience our solutions live in the showroom. These included the VariMailer® Pro, a system for automated shipping packaging. This innovative solution is the result of complex product development that focuses on efficient workflows and the needs of the customer.

The ideal solution for eco-friendly packaging for every packaging requirement
As a local employer and vocational trainer, we value regional business and technical innovation. “With our strong team, we develop and produce our machines entirely in Bielefeld and make them available to our customers. This enables us to achieve high added value while remaining flexible,” says Bastian Schalk, Managing Director of Technology and Development. Our team thus makes a valuable contribution to Bielefeld’s diverse corporate landscape. At the same time, we seek out and promote young talent, offering them sound vocational training and secure career opportunities with our training program.
