Bielefeld secondary school and Papier Sprick sign agreement

Gellershagen secondary school and Papier Sprick: a strong connection! As a training company in Bielefeld, we are delighted to have signed the “IHK-Schule-Wirtschaft” cooperation agreement with Gellershagen secondary school. This makes us part of the IHK cooperation agreements in the region, the aim of which is to support pupils in their career guidance.

This week, representatives from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, teachers and pupils from Gellershagen secondary school and the Sprick-Team came together to sign the joint agreement. The Gellershagen secondary school and Papier Sprick have thus concluded a partnership that is lived with passion on both sides and enables the pupils to be optimally prepared for their career start. As a paper manufacturer and processor with its own mechanical engineering department for the development and manufacture of packaging systems, Papier Sprick offers a diverse range of professional fields. The company thus offers pupils the opportunity to get to know various industrial, technical and commercial training occupations.

“We particularly appreciate the open exchange and the commitment to the pupils,” says Britta Rengis, a teacher specializing in career guidance. Principal Katharina Tweeboom agrees: “Since we first got to know each other, Sprick has already been very extensively involved in our job application training for the pupils, who have benefited greatly from their expertise.”

Supporting pupils in shaping their professional future is a shared objective of the school and the company. Insights into real working environments, job application training and training ideas provide orientation and help to form concrete career goals from interests and skills.

Papier Sprick attaches great importance to cultivating personal cooperation at eye level and strengthening the team across all locations. This includes a comprehensive training concept that provides support throughout the entire apprenticeship at Papier Sprick. Managing Director Dr. Stefan Sprick-Schütte emphasizes: “It is also our corporate responsibility to discover future talents at an early stage, to promote them and to inspire them for our industry.” The topic of sustainability is a central connecting element for the recycled paper producer and the secondary school, which is actively committed to environmental protection.

The eighth-grade students present at the signing ceremony have already had the opportunity to get to know Papier Sprick better. During a visit to the paper mill in Diemelstadt, they were able to experience the production and processing of recycled paper and find out about the wide range of training opportunities on offer. The students’ conclusion: “It was a great experience to look behind the scenes at a manufacturing company.

We look forward to working together and to supporting the pupils with exciting projects, hands-on activities and information events as part of their career guidance.
