Everything you need to know about our apprenticeships: the career day at Papier Sprick! The paper mill in Diemelstadt opened its doors to pupils who were looking for a suitable apprenticeship and wanted to immerse themselves in the world of paper production. A variety-packed programme awaited the guests with guided tours of the plant, hands-on activities and informative events.

Choosing an apprenticeship is a big step into professional life – which makes it all the more important for students to find an apprenticeship that matches their skills, provides them with specialised knowledge and prepares them perfectly for working life. We at Papier Sprick have made this our mission!
As part of our career day, students had the opportunity to get to know our technical and industrial apprenticeships. They learned how eco-friendly packaging materials are produced and processed and how they can play an important part in this, for example as a paper technologist or industrial mechanic.
During a tour of the factory, guests were able to experience the paper production process from waste paper to the finished product and even try out the associated professions for themselves.

A wide range of activities gave visitors a playful insight into the tasks and topics of our training occupations. Hands-on technology was available in our mechanical and electronic workshops with games such as ‘hot wire’ and ‘Pong’. Our paper products could be tested in the ‘cushion coil race’, by feeling the different types of corrugated paper and by trying out paper making. The ball track game with our edge protection profiles required teamwork and coordination.
Following the factory tour, the visitors were able to inform themselves about our internship and training concept. The apprenticeship organisation, vocational school, benefits – with a brief summary of all the important aspects of the training at Papier Sprick, we gave the pupils a guide to help them on their way. Of course, there was also time for an application photo, a selfie in the photo box or refreshments at our buffet.
Those who immediately decided to apply to Papier Sprick were also able to have a personal interview with our trainers on site and take the next step towards their future.
With special trainee benefits and a comprehensive training concept, we offer you an attractive and in-depth training programme. We promote the strengths of each individual and are always there to help and advise if you have any questions or problems.
