To give you a good start to your apprenticeship at Papier Sprick, we offer various introductory and get-to-know-you activities as part of our Trainee Welcome Week. In addition to tours of our paper production and mechanical engineering facilities, this orientation week also includes workshops with important tips for starting your career. Our aim is to give you a foothold in your new environment and make it easier for you to get to know the team and the other trainees.
Factory tour in Diemelstadt
The orientation week began with a tour of our paper production facility in Diemelstadt. The trainees were able to follow the journey from waste paper to the finished recycled paper product and gain their first insights into their new workplace. They were amazed not only by the size of the paper machine, but also by the extent of the entire production site.
Coaching for career starters
At the beginning of an apprenticeship, everything is often unfamiliar. That's why we support our new recruits with coaching on team spirit and starting a career. This gave them the opportunity to get to know their teammates from the first year of training and work together on tasks related to cooperation and communication. They also received helpful tips for professional life, such as strategies for confident behaviour and stress management.
Guided tour of the mechanical engineering facility
In Bielefeld, our trainees got to know the mechanical engineering site during a guided tour. They visited the departments for goods receipt, assembly and the electrical workshop. In our showroom, they were then able to try out our packaging systems for themselves and familiarise themselves with the various advantages of the systems.
Nutrition workshop
Our trainees learned which building blocks are important for a balanced diet and how to put them into practice in their everyday working lives in a nutrition workshop. What exactly are proteins, carbohydrates and fats, and which foods are the best sources of them? There were also helpful tips on hydration, sugar and superfoods. The participants then put what they had learned into practice by preparing healthy, delicious wraps. The conclusion: Healthy food does not have to be expensive or complicated to prepare!
