Hands-on career guidance – that was our Future day
Explore, experiment and plan for their own future – that’s what students were able to do at Future Day, our event dedicated to training and careers.
The event was aimed in particular at students who are in the process of deciding on their future career. A varied programme awaited them, in which they could not only watch but also actively participate. This included guided tours of the production plant, information events on apprenticeship professions and the ‘market of opportunities’ with interactive experience stations. We presented our career opportunities, including apprenticeships as paper technologists, electronics technicians and industrial mechanics, in a clear and practical way.
At various educational stations, the pupils were given a playful insight into apprenticeship professions in the technical and industrial sectors. Our trainees supervised the stations, including games, paper making and a reaction test, which they had developed and implemented with their own initiative. This gave visitors an authentic insight into the skill sets required for the respective professions and allowed them to talk directly to the trainees on site.
During the factory tour, visitors gained exciting insights into the environmentally friendly production of recycled paper. The tour took them through all stages of production: from the delivery of waste paper, through the paper machine and further processing, to the warehouse where the finished products are stored. The programme also included visits to our company’s own electronics and mechanics workshops. This is where the machines used in the paper manufacturing process are maintained. Our trainees presented their current projects, their workplace and their daily tasks.
The conclusion: Papier Sprick offers diverse, practical training content and great collaboration in a strong team.
We would like to thank everyone who made this day so special. Thank you also for taking part in our competition. We hope the lucky winners enjoy their JBL speakers.
